Roasting on an Open Fire
For once the family actually has money to spend on Christmas, so
they go to the mall to prepare and get gifts. Bart, who wants a tattoo,
gets a heart that's supposed to say 'mother', thinking that Marge would like
it. She doesn't, and she immediately drags it to a doctor who can remove
the tattoo, but spends all the Christmas money on it. She thinks it'll be
alright as Homer still has his bonus coming, but then mr. Burns announces
that there will be no bonus. Not willing to admit this to Marge, Homer gets
a christmas tree from the side of the road, and accepts a job as Santa at
the mall to be able to earn some money to buy presents with. Bart finds him
out, but is moved by homer's gesture, and together they go pick up the
paycheck, which is a lot smaller than Homer had thought. On a tip from
Barney they go to the dog race track, where Homer decides to bet on Santa's
Little Helper, sure that with a name like that he can't lose on Christmas
Eve. Santa's little Helper comes in last, and Homer loses all the money,
but then the dog's owner chases him off, and the dog flees to Bart and Homer
for safety. They take him home, and the family thinks it's the best
christmas present ever.
Marge Be Not Proud
Bonestorm, the coolest video game ever, is out, but Bart isn't allowed to
get it. Milhouse has it but won't let him play. He notices other kids
shoplifting and decides to try it himself, but gets caught by the store
detective. He may never set foot in the store again, but as bad luck would
have it, Marge wants to have a family picture taken in that very store.
While the picture is taken, Bart is pulled away by the detective, and thus
the whole story comes out, which leaves Marge very disappointed in Bart,
which is actually worse to him than any type of punishment she could have
given him. To make up for it, he gives Marge her Christmas present early, a
framed picture of himself with the ticket as proof that he paid attached to
it, which she thinks is the best present ever, so she gives him his present
early as well, a golf video game
Miracle on Evergreen Terrace
Bart gets up bright and early so he can already start unpacking his
Christmas gifts. He gets a fire truck that squirts real water, and plays
with it, and sprays water on an electric socket, causing a shortcut that
sets the tree on fire, and as it is plastic, makes it melt. He buries the
tree in de front yard under the white pure snow, and cooks up a story of a
man coming in to steal the tree and all the presents. All of Springfield
rally to their aid, and they give money to the Simpsons, with which they by
a new car, which they accidentally drive into a pond. Bart confesses o his
family that it was all a lie, but because of general appearance, when Kent
Brockman comes for an interview, they keep up pretence, until the lamps melt
the snow, and Santa's Little Helper exposes the melted tree. All of
Springfield hates them, until they decide to take whatever they can out of
the Simpsons home with the same value as what they gave them, and everything
returns back to normal
Grift of the Magi
The school owes a lot of money to Fat Tony's company, so it's being taken
over by another company, that provides a whole new program for the kids in
school. Lisa and Bart soon discover that in fact, they are turning the
children into a research group, to make a new toy, Funzo. Nothing wrong
with that it seems, until it turns out that the new toy is designed to
destroy all other toys. Lisa and Bart manage to convince Homer to go around
and steal all the Funzo's and then burn them. They are stopped by Gary
Coleman, but Lisa manages to convince him that they are doing a good thing,
so Gary lets them burn the Funzo's and then ends up having Christmas dinner
with the Simpsons
’Tis The Fifteenth Season
Christmas is
approaching, and Homer gets a great gift from Carl, his secret santa, but
gives Lenny just some candy. As christmas bonus, he gets a Joe Dimaggio
rookie card from Mr. Burns, who doesn't realise what it is worth. He sells
it for a lot of money and the family goes to buy presents, but spends most
of it on a present for himself, which means that they can't afford a tree.
Marge send him to sleep on the couch, which leads to him watching a version
of A Christmas Carol, and see the error of his ways. As a result, he
decides to do only nice things, and lose his selfish ways. He outdoes Ned
Flanders on the niceness, who then decides to buy everyone in town a
christmas present. Lisa tells Homer that as a buddhist she doesn't care
much for presents, and Homer gets the idea to steal all the presents,
believing it'll make the people of Springfield happy. Of course it doesn't
and they set off to beat him with snowballs, but Ned comes to his rescue.
They give back all the presents and all of the town starts singing.

on a desert island with Mr. Burns. When they see something fly by they
shoot their flair gun, and it turns out they hit Santa Clause's slay.

gives him her present, which is in fact a present for Homer to give to
Marge, as she knew he would forget.
Kill Gill Volumes
I and II
The Family enjoys Krusty's Kristmas on ice, until a fight breaks out when
the basketball court is being laid out when the show is still running.
Afterwards they go to the mall, where Gil is playing Santa. Lisa sits
on his lap and asks for a Malibu Stacy doll set, which is all sold out.
Gil has seen an extra set lying in the back room and sells it to Marge,
however it turns out that the set was put aside by the owner of the store
for his little girl. Gill can't take it back from Lisa as it would
break her heart, so he gets fired. Marge feels sorry for them and
invites him over to celebrate Christmas with them. They all have a
wonderful time, in fact Gill had such a good time that he decides to move
his stuff in from the bus station. Marge wants him out, and so does
Homer, but she finds she can't tell him so, as he's such a sad person, and
has no where else to go. After 11 months (and numerous holidays ruined
by Gil), Marge finally gets the nerve to tell him to go when Ned shows her a
Christmas card with Gill in the front and the family in the back. She
marches in the house only to find that Gil has found a job and left.
However because all of her life she's had trouble saying no (because of her
sisters pushing her into a doll house when she said no to them once), she
needs to tell Gill she has had enough of him. They all go to
Gil's new work place, a realtor office, so that Marge can
tell him to go away. After Marge tells him her thoughts in plain view
of the entire staff, Gil cowers in front of her, leading to the manager
firing him. To make up for it, the Simpsons buy a house of him, and
they all celebrate christmas together |
